Injured Nelson climber airlifted from Kaikoura mountains

An injured Nelson man was airlifted to safety after activating his personal locater beacon on the inland Kaikoura mountains yesterday.

A Summit Rescue Helicopter spokesman said the man had injured his leg climbing to the summit on the west side of Tapuae-O-Uenuku.
