A man who lost control of his vehicle on a bend in a road near Te Awamutu overnight was taken to hospital by helicopter.
The 20-year-old man was the sole occupant of a ute that crashed on Bayley Rd, Wharepuhanga.
"According to reports, the man apparently lost control of his vehicle in a corner and left the road, rolling several times before coming to rest down a five-metre embankment," a spokeswoman for the Waikato Rescue Helicopter said.
The main suffered cuts to his head and a was flown to Waikato Hospital for treatment and observation.
