A 40-year-old man has been flown to hospital with spinal injuries after being hit by an off cut at a logging site near Nelson.
The Golden Downs man was at a logging site near St Arnaud when he was hit by the log that rolled about 150m down a hill.
St John Intensive Care Paramedics treated him at the scene for spinal injuries.
He was winched into the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter to be transported to Nelson hospital.
