Injured cattledog bounces back

Bonnie the injured cattledog is fighting back and her plight has prompted offers of donations to cover her operation costs.

The 4-year-old stray is reported to be doing well in Tauranga's Barke's Corner Vet Hospital after she was shot in the head and shoulder and left to suffer for days.

The Bay of Plenty Times ran Bonnie's story of miraculous survival after she was found cowering in a driveway on Tuesday. A .22 bullet had missed her brain by only 20mm.
