A 4-year-old boy is still in a serious condition after being hit by a child's motorbike in northern Wairarapa last Thursday.
Initial reports that the child was on a quad bike were incorrect, a Pahiatua police spokesman said.
The incident happened on a private property at Eketahuna, north of Masterton, about 4pm.
The child was injured when an 8-year-old drove a small motorbike into him, the spokesman said.
St John medical staff worked on the boy before he was flown to Palmerston North Hospital by the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter for further treatment.APNZ
