Last year, PlaceMakers committed to the Registered Master Builders House of the Year Awards as the sole principal sponsor.

Since its inception some 15 years ago, the Registered Master Builders House of the Year Awards have come to symbolise a dedication to building excellence.

During this time, we have celebrated a drive for innovation and a commitment to satisfy the needs of New Zealand's home owners.

PlaceMakers continues to sponsor the two renovation categories. To better serve customers in the building trade and serious DIY markets PlaceMakers is undertaking some renovations of its own.

Recent projects include purpose-built stores in New Lynn, Riccarton, Queenstown and Mt Wellington, which combine the best of international and New Zealand retail models together with a specialised trade focus. New stores are underway in Kerikeri and Invercargill, as is a refurbishment programme across the network.

Because PlaceMakers has a joint-venture partnership with store operators, customers get the benefits of a focused, personal service, combined with the advantage of the buying power a national operation can negotiate.
