Imitation firearm sparks police call-out

A man has been arrested after allegedly brandishing an imitation firearm in the Auckland suburb of Mt Albert today.

A police spokesman said officers were called to Thomas Ave after reports a man was pointing a gun from a car.

The weapon was found to be imitation but the man has been arrested and will be charged with firearms offences.
