About a dozen residents and two staff at a Nelson retirement village have contracted the potentially deadly methicillin-resistant bacterium staphylococcus aureus.
Wood Retirement Village manager Gabrielle Le Dorre said no one had become sick from it yet.
The home was working with the district health board infection control staff and hoped to have the all-clear next week.
