Deposed Fijian Prime Minister Mahendra Chaudra (front)is hugged by a fellow hostage Isireli Vuibau. The Indian hostages have been allowed to mix with the Fijian hostages for the first time since they were captured on May 19. The hostages face a long wait for release after the military rulers announced they were cutting the rebels out of talks to appoint a civilian government to run the country for two years.
