Wairarapa United's hopes of winning their first ever Central League football title remain on track after their 3-1 win over defending champions Miramar Rangers in Wellington on Saturday.
Player-coach Paul Ifill scored one of United's goals with others going to Sam O'Regan and Seule Soromon.
The victory took them to 24 points on the competition table, just three points (or one win) behind Napier City Rovers, who maintained their top billing with a 3-1 win over Stop Out.
In other matches played on Saturday, Palmerston North Marist edged out Wellington Olympic 2-1 and Petone beat Tawa 2-0.
