'Idol' hopeful voted off

NZ Idol's top 10 had its first casualty last night as Shelley Paikea was eliminated.

All three judges included the Pukekohe 23-year-old in their own bottom three lists, and the public agreed. Public votes eliminate one Idol hopeful every week.

Shelley had failed to impress the public with her version of the Alicia Keys' hit Loving You.
