ID of blaze body pending

A post-mortem examination has been carried out on the body of a man found at the scene of a fire in a rural Tauranga home on Saturday night.

Detective Senior Sergeant Lindsay Pilbrow said it was done in Auckland yesterday.

"By tomorrow morning we will have completed the formal identification, so I will hope to release details about the cause of death and identification by then."
