Crime Scene: Papakura police after man with hand tattoos

PAPAKURA - police have a warrant to arrest Francis Taipeti after he failed to appear in court for sentencing.

Taipeti, a Maori, 35, with black curly hair and about 180cm tall, had been charged with wounding with intent to injure, injuring with intent to injure, and assault with a weapon.

Police suspect he is in Auckland.

He has several tattoos: the word "true" on the fingers of his right hand, "hell" on the fingers and back of his left hand and "pistons" on his right forearm.
