It's a cold, dark night. You are snowed in at home, the power is off. You have to find food and fuel urgently.
Of all the party leaders, who would you prefer to have with you in this time of crisis?
A special Herald-Digipoll survey found that for 29.4 per cent of you, Helen Clark (well known for conquering mountains) is the woman for the job - and she scored 10 per cent higher than any other leader.
This is despite Bill English - a Southland farmer in a previous life - probably having better experience in these kinds of events. Of the 801 people polled, just 19.8 chose Mr English, putting him in second place.
Polling third place, scoring 16.6 per cent, Winston Peters is the next most preferred to help get through such a crisis. Not that there is much chance of being snowed-in in Tauranga.
At the other end of the scale, Rod Donald is definitely not regarded as a hunter-gatherer, pulling in a measly 2.2 per cent of the vote.
Green co-leader Jeanette Fitzsimons fared a little bit better at 7.9 per cent, although that was much less than the 11.5 per cent who did not want any party leader to help them.
There was almost zero tolerance of the thought that Richard Prebble would help dig anyone out, but 3.1 per cent decided he could do the job.
