Poppy is one year old but still a boisterous, energetic pup. She is extremely active and loves to explore. The border collie cross was left at the SPCA when her owners moved to a smaller house in October.
"Being a collie, Poppy is very active and intelligent," said the SPCA's Kathryn Sutton. "She loves agility, weaving and jumping through hoops." Poppy would suit a family with older children prepared to spend plenty of time with her.
While many people wanted to adopt puppies, it was good to remember that older dogs were also lovable, Ms Sutton said. Older dogs were often overlooked because they did not display normal behaviour when caged.
