Hypothermia prompts mountain rescue

A man was airlifted out of the Ruahine ranges yesterday afternoon.

The Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter was called to the Hinerua Ridge after the man was suspected of suffering from the first stages of hypothermia.

He is under observation in Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital
