A police operation targeting organised crime in Lower Hutt has resulted in 13 arrests, along with the recovery of drugs and a firearm.
Fifteen searches were carried out with assistance from the armed offenders squad over the past two days, Detective Senior Sergeant Paul Borrell said today.
"This operation has targeted organised crime within our community. Police located several drugs and a variety of utensils for drug use and cultivation. We also located a firearm, which is of concern to us."
Those arrested face charges including aggravated burglary, possession and cultivation of a Class C and possession of Class B controlled drugs.
