Australian pop star Delta Goodrem flies into Auckland on Tuesday to spend four days here promoting her new album - and to record a secret segment on the hit TV show New Zealand's Got Talent.
Goodrem, who turned 28 on Friday, signed with Sony Music as a 15-year-old and has had eight Australian No 1 singles.
But it was her sometimes volatile love life that garnered her most recognition in her home country.
In 2004, tennis player Mark 'The Scud' Philippoussis ended his relationship with a then 19-year-old Goodrem. There was much speculation he ended the relationship to pursue Paris Hilton, although The Scud denied this.
In 2007, Goodrem began dating Westlife singer Brian McFadden and they were together for four years before an acrimonious split in 2011.
Goodrem was then seen with singer Nick Jonas but split from the barely legal pint-sized pop star in February this year.
Delta's singing career has been resurrected by a stint as a judge on Australia's wildly popular reality TV singing competition The Voice, alongside Seal and Keith Urban. It screened in New Zealand recently.
Goodrem had a nasty scare last week when she burnt her legs on a steamer while warming up for a concert appearance in Sydney. She still went on stage but was forced to cancel the second half of the show after the pain become too much.
