Hordes of Wairarapa-Bush rugby fans, old and young alike, are expected to take advantage of three royal opportunities to mix with the Hurricanes Super 15 squad over the weekend.
As part of what has been labelled the "Captain Hurricanes Territory Tour", a public training session will be held at the Marist rugby grounds at Memorial Park between 4pm and 6pm on Friday.
Hurricanes players and management will be mixing with the public and signing autographs there, while the team mascot, Captain Hurricanes, will be present to hand out giveaways and help organise the free barbecue.
Saturday will see the Hurricanes trek to Mangatainoka, where they will play the Chiefs in a friendly expected to attract a huge crowd. On Sunday, they will be at the Greytown rugby grounds between 11 am to 1pm, where the emphasis will again be on meeting and mixing with supporters.
