A 27-year-old Huntly man who kidnapped a 4-year-old girl outside her home but pushed her out of his car when her mum took chase has appeared at Hamilton District Court this afternoon.
The man, who has been granted interim name suppression, faces seven charges including kidnapping the young Hamilton girl.
He also faces four charges of committing an indecent act and two charges of showing pornographic images in a public place.
He has been remanded in custody until his next appearance, when he may apply for electronic bail. He did not enter a plea.
Police began investigating after he grabbed the young girl on October 5, and he was arrested on Monday.
