Huntly lawyer Mike Meyrick appeared in the High Court at Hamilton this week to appeal against his four convictions for possessing an objectionable publication, but the appeal has been postponed.
Submissions by Crown prosecutor Louella Dunn were supposed to have been delivered to Meyrick before the appeal hearing, but he said he had not received them, or two Crown affidavits.
Consequently his appeal was postponed until November 24.
Miss Dunn said she had sent her submissions and the affidavits to Meyrick's address at the end of last week, but he said he had moved.
The Crown prosecutor was ordered to send copies of her submissions to Meyrick again, and he was given 21 days to respond.
