Police investigating the death of a Nelson man in a West Coast hunting incident said last night they hoped to reach his body today, "weather permitting".
The 40-year-old died late on Tuesday evening, Detective Constable Tania Jellyman, of Greymouth, said last night.
He was a member of a three-man hunting party in the Rough River area west of Reefton.
