KEY POINTS:
Police have named the hunter who was found dead in south Waikato bush yesterday.
He was 47-year-old Owen Harry Kay, from Whakamaru, 31km southwest of Tokoroa.
Senior Sergeant Fane Troy of Tokoroa police said search teams found Mr Kay's body yesterday about midday after looking for him in bush near Whakamaru since Monday morning.
He told NZPA it was not yet known how Mr Kay died as a post mortem has not yet been completed.
But he said there were no injuries on the hunter, or any evidence he had died from a fall.
Mr Kay and his four dogs were due home on Sunday.
The search teams also found Mr Kay's dogs, pushbike and car.
A scene examination had been completed and police reported there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Mr Kay's death.
