A hunter who spent two nights in the bush has been found and is in good health.
About 30 search and rescue volunteers searched the Kaimanawa Forest Park today after the hunter failed to return to his hut yesterday morning.
A dog team from Land Search and Rescue found the missing hunter about midday today near the Oamaru River in the park.
The hunter has been taken from the bush by the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter and police said he was in good health.
Police thanked the LandSAR volunteers who helped in the search.
