A 19-year-old man has been arrested after a major police manhunt in Cromwell yesterday.
He was found by police in a property in Cromwell shortly before 8am this morning, police said, and was arrested without incident.
Parts of central Otago were in lockdown yesterday as police searched for the teen, believed to have been armed.
The armed offenders squad was involved in the operation, in which a drone, police dogs and cordons were used in the Lowburn-Mt Pisa area.
The teenager, a European male, is believed to have fled Dunedin on Tuesday night after what is believed to have been a domestic incident.
