The hunt is on in earnest to get as many eligible Wairarapa voters onto the roll for this year's general election as possible.
Registrar of Elections Philip Parkes said this week whereas the districts that make up Wairarapa had a high number of enrolments his work is now aimed at getting the rest enrolled.
At last call 98 per cent of Masterton's eligible voters were enrolled, 99 per cent in South Wairarapa and 100 per cent of those in Carterton District.
Tararua was dragging the chain somewhat with 95 per cent enrolled.
Mr Parkes said whether that meant people were enrolled at the right address was another matter and voters needed to know that was a requirement.
