Radio New Zealand has started its search for a replacement for National Radio's Nine To Noon presenter Linda Clark.
Clark last month announced she was quitting the programme in March to "do something else with her life".
She has presented the show since July 2002.
Today Radio New Zealand advertised the position.
"Host one of New Zealand's most popular and prestigious current affairs radio programmes," the advert reads.
"We are looking for a new presenter who will maintain Nine To Noon's iconic status and exceptional standards while introducing the programme to new audiences.
"Our new host will have an opportunity to shape the programme to reflect their particular interests and strengths, working with an experienced production team to develop new programme concepts."
The advertisement said the role required a highly intelligent, experienced communicator with a wide-ranging appetite for knowledge and information, "a consummate journalist and interviewer capable of sustaining incisive feature-length interviews and discussions".
Clark, 42, returned to work from holiday this week. Her last day on air will be Friday, March 3.
