Wairarapa-Bush Rugby Union is to advertise the head coach position for their Heartland championship side in 2015.
Chief executive officer Tony Hargood said applications via a contestable process would be called for through the WBRU website and normal media channels tomorrow.
Wairarapa-Bush finished as the 11th-seeded side in the 12-team Heartland series this year, having only East Coast behind them after a campaign which produced a solitary win.
It was Mark Rutene's fourth season as head coach and came after Wairarapa-Bush had made it through to the semifinals of the premier section, the Meads Cup, in 2012 and 2013.
Hargood said the WBRU board had the highest regard for the job done by Rutene and his management team since taking over the Heartland side in 2011 and labelled their two semifinal appearances as a "great accomplishment", especially considering they were working under constraints imposed on the union because of their then financial woes, something which has since been successfully addressed.
