An Hungarian tourist will appear in court next week, charged with the murder of an Auckland man.
The 29-year-old man has been formally charged with the murder of Ronald James Brown.
Mr Brown, 69, was found badly beaten at his ground floor flat in Matiere Road, Onehunga early on Saturday morning and died in hospital on Monday.
A man was found in Mr Brown's home shortly after the attack and was initially charged with assault and intentional damage.
The tourist will appear in the Auckland District Court on December 17 charged of murder.
