Human remains found on Goat Island

Human remains have been found at the Goat Island marine reserve north of Auckland, police say.

The find was reported to police by a recreational diver, Inspector Cornell Kluessien said.

The police dive squad confirmed human remains had been found in 16 metre deep water and expected to recover the remains later today.
