KEY POINTS:
A convenience store was gutted in a major blaze in Queenstown early this morning.
The Night and Day store on Rees Street went up in flames around 4.30am and six fire engines were still at the scene at 7.30am.
There were concerns the fire would spread to adjacent buildings but fire crews kept it contained.
There were no reports of any injuries
