KEY POINTS:
All Black Doug Howlett put all his troubles behind him as he married longtime partner Monique Everard in Auckland yesterday.
Howlett, who has kept a low profile since being arrested in London for damaging cars after his team's World Cup defeat, tied the knot with his fiancee amid high security on Puketutu Island in Manukau Harbour.
The Kelliher Estate ceremony for the former cheerleader and 29-year-old Howlett was attended by friends and family, including All Black and Blues mates Daniel Braid, Sione Lauaki and Jerome Kaino.
It was a cloudless, sunny day for the nuptials; Howlett arrived shortly before 2pm in his Chevy Impala, accompanied by three groomsmen.
Everard arrived at 3pm. The pair's son, Charles, was born in July, and Howlett will start a new contract with an Irish club at the close of this year.
