Howick byelection date

The byelection in the Howick ward of the Auckland Council will be held on May 27, following the resignation of councillor Jami-Lee Ross after he was elected to Parliament for National in the Botany byelection on Saturday.

Nominations for the ward seat close on April 7 and voting papers in the postal election will be available from May 5.
