Your article is great for those who have a say about when to return to work and how many days or hours they do. Many women do not have this choice. It's interesting the article only quotes women who are 'professionals' what about the women who do shift work, are single parents, have husbands/partners who do not contribute to household jobs at all? I think the reality of being a working mother is more than feeling a 'little' guilty. It's about compromise on the mothers behalf as well as the children. Also why is it that so many mother say they went back to work for mental stimulation? Do you not take your children anywhere? With all these women going back to work what will happen to the schools, communities and charities that rely on the time that many mothers and grandmothers volunteer? For what? To try to compete with overseas dollars buying up real estate?
