Fire crews are the scene of a house fire in Westport this evening.
A spokeswoman for the NZ Fire Service said they were called to Russell St at 5.30pm after receiving multiple reports of a large house fire on the street.
"It was a well-involved,'' she said.
"We had three pumps in attendance and now they're working at dampening things down."
It was not known whether anyone was home at the time, but the spokeswoman said no one had been taken to hospital.
