Investigators are at the scene of an early morning house fire in the Napier suburb of Taradale today.
The unoccupied house on Howard St caught fire about 2am but the blaze was put out quickly, Napier Fire Station manager Mike Peachey told NZPA.
There was no danger to lives or to any other property in the area, Mr Peachey said.
Fire safety officers were trying to determine the cause of the blaze.
