A Waikato fire that damaged a house overnight is being treated as arson.
Fire Service northern communications shift manager Scott Osmond said the fire, which broke out at 10pm in Meremere, appeared to be deliberately lit and would be investigated by police.
No one was injured after fire raced through the Te Puea Ave property.
Fire safety officers and police would return this morning to determine the cause of the blaze.
