Firefighters battled a blaze that gutted a two-story house in Christchurch this evening.
Three fire appliances were called Westminster Rd in Mairehau just before 8.20pm.
Southern Fire Service shift manager Hilary West said approximately one third of the property was "well-ivolved" in fire when crews arrived.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious and there was no mention of any persons being in the house at the time of the blaze.
