A man who fell 12 storeys from the balcony of an Auckland hotel nine days ago is no longer in a critical condition.
The 25-year-old suffered severe head injuries when he fell from the 16th floor of the All Seasons hotel in the CBD on July 20.
His 42m drop was broken by the corrugated iron roof of a neighbouring building.
An Auckland Hospital spokeswoman said he was was now in a stable condition, having initially been classified as critical.
The man had been visiting a guest at the time of the incident, according to hotel staff.
