The man who held a woman hostage in a car for 3 1/2 hours on Monday is expected to be charged today. The 28-year-old West Auckland man will face a number of charges, including firearms-related offences in connection with the hostage drama.
It is understood he was supposed to be charged yesterday but was kept in hospital for observation due to some substances he had ingested the previous day.
