Colleagues of Michelle Beets, the New Zealand-born nurse murdered on her Sydney doorstep a week ago, are disturbed that the killer could be one of their own.
Police believe the murder was planned and robbery was not the motive.
Detectives have confirmed they were checking personnel records at the Royal North Shore Hospital where the dead woman was a nurse-manager after being told a staff member was sacked when Ms Beets reported the theft of drugs.
Some staff have expressed distress that a former colleague has been implicated, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
