COME this Monday, it's green for go for the huge "go-live" move to Wairarapa's new hospital.
To the casual observer it looks like a logistic nightmare, moving around patients, staff and equipment from one hospital to the other in an exercise which communications officer Jill Stringer said had been planned down to the last hour.
But before then, the hospital doors will open for staff and their families, stakeholders and the general public to get a firsthand look.

April Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5:
Laboratory migration will take place over two days, Tuesday, April 4 to Wednesday, April 5.
These dates were changed from March 29 and 30 as originally planned. Patients need to avoid April 4 and April 5, as although there will be a phlebotomy service in Wairarapa Hospital it would be very difficult to provide a laboratory- testing service on the moving days, particularly April 5.
Ms Stringer said that on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, March 29, 30 and 31, wardens will be stationed just inside the entrance to Selina Sutherland drive to give directions to people coming to hospital.
She said with the move basically finished by Tuesday, April 4, and the new hospital fully functional by Wednesday, April 5, the next few months would be a settling-in period, tying up loose ends, and with the finishing touches put in place inside and outside the new hospital. "Things like landscaping have to be done when it's best for the trees and plants," she said.
"We also expect, as with any new building, that we will identify items we want modified, but we need to live in it for a while first.
"It's an amazing new building ?V the local contractors and builders have done an incredible job to enable us to shift in on time."
The official opening will be on May 4, with Prime Minister Helen Clark and Health Minister, Pete Hodgson in attendance..
The proceedings will take place between 10.30am and noon with final details yet to be confirmed.
