KEY POINTS:
A bomb threat at Hutt Hospital today that forced the hospital's partial evacuation was a hoax.
Hospital spokesman David Graham said police gave the all clear at midday for people to return after a search found nothing.
Non-essential staff and mobile patients were evacuated to the nearby Boulcott Hospital after a bomb threat was received around 9.30am.
The caller said bombs had been planted in the carpark and some wards.
Police and the fire service searched but no devices were located.
Wellington Hospital was also used as the alternative hospital during the disruption.
Visitors will be allowed at Hutt Hospital from the normal visiting time at 2.30pm.
