Horses found wandering in Hamilton

Police are trying to find the owners of two horses found wandering at a main Hamilton intersection early today.

The horses were spotted at the Bankwood and Clarkin Road junction, in the eastern city suburb of Fairfield.

They were quite unperturbed about their strange surroundings, a police spokesman said.

They were led off the road.

Animal control officers used a horse float to take the pair to a safe place.
