KEY POINTS:
The newly married sole survivor of a horrific crash in Clevedon over Easter has recovered well and will return to Hong Kong today.
Clara Ng Sae-wan, 33, is leaving Auckland with eight relatives who arrived last Sunday to look after her, Counties Manukau police Asian liaison officer Justin Zeng confirmed yesterday.
She not only lost her new husband, Wilson Ha, but also her sister Flora, 25, father Ng Kong-hoi, 59, and mother Lai Chun-yip, 61, when their rented Nissan Cefiro station wagon collided with a Mitsubishi Pajero in North Rd, Clevedon, on Good Friday.
She married Mr Ha in January and many of her wedding photos had been posted in her Facebook entry.
In her final entry on her internet blog a day before she came to New Zealand, she wrote that she was lookingforward to the trip as she was facing deep frustrations at work.
She had just resigned from her job as a garment retailer and her holiday here was a much-needed break.
Condolences and words from friends, family and even strangers, have since flooded her blog.
Her relatives are handling arrangements for the return of the bodies to Hong Kong.
