Tomorrow is Anzac Day when New Zealanders and Australians will take part in services honouring the dedication and gallantry of their soldiers. The services include:
NORTHLAND
* Dargaville: Muster for the dawn service is at 5.45am outside the RSA. The march to the Wesley Services Cemetery moves off at 6am.
Muster for the civic ceremony is at 10.15am outside the RSA. Participants will assemble in the foyer of the War Memorial Hall and march into the hall at 10.30am. Guest speaker is Colonel John McLeod. Afterwards, everyone may gather at the memorial wall at the RSA.
* Hakaru: Hakaru and Districts RSA in Settlement Rd will hold a commemorative service there at 10.30am.
* Helensville: The dawn parade begins at 5.30am at the Parakai monument.
The civic service for the public begins at 11am at the memorial and flagpole beside the Helensville Community Hall.
* Kaitaia: Assemble at the RSA from 5.30am for the dawn parade to the cenotaph and service at 6am.
A civic service will be held in the community centre in South Rd at 11am.
Further services will be held in Te Kao at 11am on Potahi Marae and at the Houhora Cemetery at 2pm.
* Kawakawa: The parade organised by Kawakawa and District RSA will begin at the cenotaph at 9am after the march from the post office.
* Kerikeri: The parade in Kerikeri is at 10.30am at the RSA.
* Mangonui: A civic service will start at 11am in the War Memorial Hall.
* Russell: A bus for the dawn parade at Ngaiotonga at 6.30am leaves the RSA in Russell at 6am.
At 10.30am the Anzac parade leaves Russell RSA to go to the cenotaph and then on to the RSA cemetery.
* Whangarei and Districts: The dawn parade will assemble in Rust Ave outside the RSA clubrooms at 5.30am. Fall-in is at 5.45am, followed by a march to the cenotaph in Rose St for a service at 6am.
A further commemoration will be held in the services' section of Maunu Lawn Cemetery at 10am.
The Hikurangi RSA commemorative parade will fall in outside the Hikurangi Memorial Hall at 10am and march to the school memorial for a service at 10.15am.
Marchers in Waipu will fall in at the bank corner at 10.45am and proceed to the Presbyterian Church for a service starting at 11am.
The Tutukaka Coast dawn parade will assemble at the Ngunguru Sports Complex at 5.45am.
WAIKATO/SOUTH AND EAST
* Gisborne: Marchers will form up at the Lawson Field Theatre and march to the cenotaph on the Esplanade for a dawn service at 6am. Breakfast in the RSA will be followed by a march from the RSA on the corner of Childers Rd and Bright St to the cenotaph for a civic service at 9.15am. Guest speaker is Commander Keith Robb, RNZN.
* Hamilton: Dawn parade assembles in Knox St at 5.30am, for the march to the cenotaph in Memorial Drive and service at 6am.
The civic service will be at the cenotaph at 10am.
* Huntly: Muster at the RSA clubrooms at 42 Williams St is at 5am. The march to the cenotaph for the dedication sets off at 5.45am. At 7.15am participants leave the clubrooms to muster at the cemetery.
* Katikati: The dawn parade starts at 6am in the RSA clubrooms.
Muster in the domain for the civic service is at 10am. The march leaves at 10.30am to the Katikati War Memorial Hall for a service at 11am.
* Matamata: The dawn parade assembles at 5.45am at the RSA for the march to the cenotaph.
A civic service will be held at 9.30am in the War Memorial Hall.
* Morrinsville: The parade will assemble at Howie Park at 10am. It will then march to the cenotaph where the service begins at 10.30am.
* Mt Maunganui: Fall in at 5.45am at Mt Drury Reserve in Marine Parade for the march to the cenotaph and dawn service at 6am.
March off is at 9.25am for the civic service at the cenotaph at 9.30am.
If it rains, the civic memorial service only will be held in the RSA clubrooms.
* Ngaruawahia: A civic service will be held in the War Memorial Hall at 11am.
* Otorohanga: At 6am the dawn parade leaves the Service and Citizens Club to go to the World War I memorial.
At 9.30am the civic parade leaves the Service and Citizens Club and goes first to the World War I memorial for the wreath-laying, and then moves on to the World War II memorial for wreath-laying and memorial service.
* Paeroa: A dawn parade will be held at 6am at the cenotaph on Primrose Hill. A bus leaves the RSA at 5.45am for those who need help.
A second parade assembles at 8.45am in Marshall St behind the RSA, and moves off at 9am along Normanby Rd to the War Memorial Hall for the civic service at 9.15am.
* Pukekohe and District: The dawn parade marches off from Massey Ave to the town hall at 6am.
There is a service at Pokeno memorial at 9am, at the Bombay memorial at 9am, and at Maramarua memorial at 9am.
The Buckland memorial service is at 9.45am.
Patumahoe/Waiau Pa service is at 10.30am in the Waiau Pa Hall.
The civic service in the Pukekohe Town Hall begins at 10.30am.
Services at Mercer memorial and Tuakau memorial begin at 11am.
* Putaruru: The dawn parade in Putaruru assembles in Kensington St at 5.50am, and marches to the Garden of Memories for a service at 6am.
The parade for the civic service assembles at 8.45am for a march to the Garden of Memories and service at 9am.
* Rotorua: Marchers will assemble at 5.45am in Tamatekapua Courtyard, to proceed to Muruika Soldiers' Cemetery in Ohinemutu.
The march to the civic service begins from the lake end of Fenton St, with fall-in at 8.50am. The service will be held in the Convention Centre in Fenton St at 10am.
* Taumarunui: The dawn parade forms up at the RSA at 5.45am, to proceed to the cenotaph, where the Wayside Cross lists World War I casualties. After the service participants are invited to return to the RSA.
The civic parade forms up at the RSA at 10.45am, and moves via the Wayside Cross to the War Memorial Hall for a civic ceremony. Guest speaker is Jim Bolger.
* Taupo: The parade to the dawn service leaves the RSA at 5.50am and marches to the Great Lake Centre for the service at 6am.
The parade to the civic service leaves Taupo Bowling Club at 10.20am and marches to the Great Lake Centre for the service at 10.30am.
* Tauranga: The dawn parade falls in at 5.50 for a service at the cenotaph at the RSA at 6am.
A civic parade will be held at Memorial Park at 9am.
* Te Aroha: A civic service will be held at the cenotaph at 11am after a parade from the RSA.
* Te Awamutu and Districts: The dawn parade forms up outside the RSA clubrooms at 381 Alexandra St at 5.50am for march to Memorial Park in Mutu St and service at 6am.
The civic service begins at 11am at the war memorial, Anzac Green. If the weather is bad, the service will be held in St Patricks Hall, Rewi St at 11am.
A service will be held in the Ohaupo Memorial Hall at 10.30am.
Muster is at 11.30am at the Kawhia Combined Sports Club for the march to the war memorial for a public service at 12.30pm and the dedication of a memorial gate at the soldiers' section of Kawhia Cemetery.
* Te Puke: Marchers are asked to fall in in the main street at 10.10am, for a march along the main street to the service in the Memorial Hall at 10.30am.
* Thames: The dawn parade assembles at 5.45am at the RSA and moves off at 6am to the Thames Civic Centre.
The civic parade assembles at 9.45am and proceeds to the Civic Centre at 10am for a memorial service.
* Tirau: People who wish to attend a dawn parade are invited to join the service in Matamata.
A civic service will be held in the Tirau Memorial Hall at 10am.
* Tokaanu-Turangi and Districts: The dawn parade begins at 6am at Waihi, near Tokaanu.
The cemetery parade at 10.30am in Turangi will be followed by a march from the town centre to the RSA clubrooms for a civic service at 11am.
* Waihi: The dawn service is at 6am in the RSA. The civic service at 11am will be in the Waihi Memorial Hall.
* Waihi Beach: A dawn service will be held at 5am in the RSA. The civic ceremony will be at 9.30am at the same venue.
* Waiouru: The dawn parade begins at 5.30am at the cenotaph in front of Headquarters Army Training Group.
A memorial service will be held in front of the Wall of Tears (Roimata Pounamu) in the Army Museum at 11am.
* Waiuku: The march from the town hall to the cenotaph for wreath-laying begins at 10.30am. Participants then return to the town hall for a civic service.
There will be a service in Awhitu Central at 9am.
* Whakatane and Districts: Assemble at the Big Game Fishing Club at 5.15am. Fall-in is at 5.30am for the march to the marae. The service begins at 5.45am.
There will be a civic service at 9am at the District War Memorial Centre.
Ruatoki: Fall-in is at 5.35am on the corner of Ruatoki and Ohotu Rds, for the march to the marae. The service starts at Anzac Hall at 5.45am.
Kawerau: Assemble at the Ex-Navalmen's Club at 5am. Fall in and march to the marae at 5.50am, where the service starts at 6am.
Te Teko: Assemble at the RSA at 6am for the dawn service. At 8.30am there will be a wreath-laying at the war memorial, and a further service at Kokohinau marae at 9am.
Matata: Assemble at Rangitahi Marae at 6.30am for the call-on at 6.45am.
All returned servicemen and women may wear the medals and ribbons that they have been awarded over their left breast.
There is a convention that descendants of the servicemen and women may wear the appropriate medals on days of remembrance, but they should be worn over the right breast. This applies only to full-sized or miniature war medals, and does not apply to neck badges or breast stars.
