An Auckland buyer purchased The Block NZ winning car in a GrabOne website auction first - and picked up a bargain at the same time.
The blue Jazz RS Sport was used by The Block winning couple, Alex and Corban, and retailed new for $29,249. With less than 6000km on the clock, the Jazz was listed on the GrabOne website in a car first, and was sold via a reverse auction, where the price wound back each day. The auction started at 9am on the Wednesday, and sold at 7.30am the following Monday - just 10 minutes before the last scheduled price drop.
The Auckland buyer paid $24,150 for the 1.5-litre petrol engine, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The Block NZ show saw four couples renovate homes in Auckland's Pt Chevalier. Alex and Corban's home sold for $1.552 million, giving them a $227,000 profit and making them the winners.
