A homicide investigation has been launched after a man died at Auckland City Hospital this afternoon.
The 54-year-old man was found in a room at the Ascot Motel on Great South Rd, Epsom this morning where a violent incident took place.
Police are now searching for two men who were seen leaving the area shortly before the victim was found.
They are also searching for a dark blue Range Rover which was seen in the area between 8am and midday.
Police are appealing for any sightings of theis dark blue Range Rover after the body of a 54 year old man was discovered in a motel room.
Detective Senior Sergeant Andrew Fabish has asked anyone who is able to assist police to contact them on 09-302 6400 or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Police are still investigating while Fenz confirmed they attended the scene two weeks ago.
