Broadcaster Paul Holmes remains in hospital today battling the latest of a series of infections following open-heart surgery in June.
The 62-year-old is in a stable conditions in Hawke's Bay Hospital, a hospital spokesman said.
He said from his ward yesterday that he hoped to be discharged in the next few days.
