Most New Zealanders still want to stay online when on holiday. A survey found a fifth of 500 people polled by the travel company Expedia refrained from getting on the internet during a holiday.
A quarter said they logged on at least daily, while 13 per cent said they did so more than once.
The top five reasons for getting on the internet were staying in touch with friends and family, checking bank balances, keeping up with the news, getting information on a travel spot and looking at social networking sites.
